Dextrose - Essentially the same as glucose provides simple energy. It is vital in oral rehydration solutions (ORS), when in the correct ratio with sodium, to activate the sodium-glucose cotransport system. This optimises sodium and water absorption for fast hydration. It also acts as an energy source for healthy intestinal cells and helps inhibit gastric secretions.

Electrolytes:  (Na) Sodium, (K) Potassium (CL) Chloride - In the ideal ratio, along with dextrose, to ensure Oralade is isotonic. Supports normal hydration in dogs and cats, and helps restore electrolyte imbalances which have been caused by fluid loss.

With a zero phosphorus and calcium isotonic formulation, Oralade RF+ aids to promote increased fluid intake whilst supporting renal and urinary functions. Containing essential amino acids that are necessary for feline eye, heart, nerve, and immune system health whilst also supporting the gastrointestinal cells.

Use with in-appetent or anorexic patients to provide essential enterocyte nourishment, supporting GI function to help pave the way back to voluntary enteral nutrition. Feeding Guide

The above values are based on maintenance guideline volumes, actual requirements may vary depending on age, breed, and activity level of the animal. Additional/ongoing fluid losses should also be taken into consideration. Microenteral nutrition via feeding tube: 0.25 - 0.5ml/kg/hr for hours 0 - 4 and increasing +50% every subsequent 4 hours.
