Cat Joint Care

Support your cats joints and mobility with our range of vet-approved cat joint supplements and food. Designed to support your cat's joint health, our range of joint care helps to aid aches and pains and keep a spring in their step. What's more all of our cat joint supplements, tablets and food have been approved by our vets, so you can have the confidence when shopping for joint care.

Joint Supplements are thought to slow the progression of arthritis and reduce joint pain in cats. They are safe to use alongside other arthritis medication and pain relief. Cats who have stiff joints, the cartridge (tissue that 'cushions' the joints between the bones) starts to wear away faster than its being replaced.  Stiffness and your cat slowing down is a usual sign of joint pain, which can impact their mobility and can have a serious effect on your cats quality of life. Although stiff joints are not curable, it is possible to improve joint health in your cat and to help them manage their joint pain.

Common uses for cat joint supplements include arthritis in cats, older cats, joint injuries and working cats. Contact your vet surgery for advice on whether your cat may benefit from taking joint supplements and if so, the most suitable product for them.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my cat is suffering from joint pain?

Cats are very mobile and agile creatures. The smallest issues with their movement can become apparent quickly. If your cat has slowed down, is limping or showing discomfort when being picked up, it might be a more serious issue or it might be joint pain. It is always best to ask your vet for their opinion in this situation.

Can I use a dog joint supplement for my cat?

It is never advisable to give a joint supplement on a pet that it is not specifically designed for. Supplements are designed with specific animals and are formulated as such. Always check what pet or breed a product is designed for via product descriptions or on a manufactures website.

Are chews or tablets easier to give to cats?

It fully depends on the cat. Some cats love don't mind having supplements directly from chews whereas other may only take them when hidden amongst their food. The product itself has an impact on this two, is it easy for them to swallow, is it flavoured to their liking, or does it smell off putting to them? Trialling smaller packs is always advisable fir this reason.

Is joint care only for older cats, or can younger cats benefit too?

Some cats will get more of a benefit from joint care supplements than others. Typically older cats see the most benefit but some younger cats can certainly benefit too. Enquire with your vet if you are unsure about whether additional join care is right for your pet.
