How to control worms in dogs
Worms are commonly picked up from outdoor environments, other pets, or fleas. Including regular worming as part of your pet care routine helps support your dog’s digestive health and overall wellbeing. If your dog spends time outdoors or around other animals, routine worming is particularly important. For households with children or multiple pets, more frequent worming may be advised.
Good Hygiene stars with good pet care: Worm Screen tablets are ideal for use alongside flea treatments, as these parasites often share similar life cycles. Keeping your pet’s routine care up to date helps maintain a healthy home environment for both pets and their people.

Keeping your Dog worm free
Worm Solutions for Dogs
Worms, including roundworms, tapeworms and hookworms, are common in dogs, particularly those that spend a lot of time outdoors or regularly mix with other animals. Dogs can also pick up worms from infected fleas or contaminated outdoor areas, which is why regular worming is an important part of routine pet care.
Available in an easy-to-give tablet format, worming tablets for dogs can be given directly into the mouth or mixed with food if needed.
How Worming Tablets Support Dogs
These worming treatments are designed to help protect dogs by:
- Treating roundworms, tapeworms and hookworms
- Helping remove worms living in the gut
- Supporting regular parasite control as part of routine pet care
Some products are also commonly used alongside flea treatments, as fleas and tapeworms share a life cycle, so if dogs have one they may also have the other.
When to Consider Worming Tablets
Worming tablets may be helpful for:
- Dogs that spend a lot of time outdoors
- Dogs that regularly mix with other animals
- Homes with more than one pet
- Regular worm prevention as part of routine care
Puppies can also pick up worms at a young age and may need more regular worming as part of their care routine.
Important to Know
Worming tablets should only be used as directed and are not suitable for all dogs. Do not use in puppies under 2 weeks old or weighing less than 2kg. Please weigh your dog carefully before use to ensure the correct dose is given. Regular flea treatment and routine worming can help reduce the risk of reinfestation.
