CVET Pet Intestinal Formula Paste

Pet intestinal formula paste helps restore normal digestive function, decreases the volume and frequency of bowel movements, and restores electrolyte and water balance. At the same time, it provides a source of easily assimilated energy. It also helps repair and restore the gastrointestinal mucosa.

The probiotics & prebiotics bind and prevent the adhesion of pathogenic bacteria, improve the non-pathogenic intestinal flora and increase the intestinal IgA production. In addition, a balanced intestine supports digestion, nutrient absorption, the immune
system and forms an effective modifier for the intestinal environment. Montmorillonite is a smectite clay with excellent adsorptive and coating properties. It has a huge surface area covered in ionic charges which is ideal for coating and protecting the gut mucosa, as well as making it a very efficient binder of toxins and pathogens. In addition, it reduces stool output and firms stools, and absorbs, binds and excretes pathogenic bacteria.

Pet Intestinal Formula paste contains glutamine peptide, a stable natural source of the amino acid glutamine. One of its main functions is to provide fuel for rapidly dividing gut cells such as mucosal immune cells and epithelial enterocytes. In stress situations and catabolism, mucosal cells and lymphoid tissue in the gut utilise glutamine to help maintain the integrity of the mucosa and reduce bacterial translocation to the mesenteric lymph
nodes. Glutamine stimulates both B and T lymphocyte function and increases immunoglobulin synthesis.

Feeding instructions

Weight Recommended application:

• Cats/dogs <5 kg 2ml twice daily
  
• Dogs 5 - 15 kg 3ml twice daily
  
• Dogs 15 - 30 kg 5 ml twice daily
  
• Dogs >30 kg 7 ml twice daily

The recommended minimum administration period is 3 days, but this period may vary in each individual case and according to the instruction of the veterinary surgeon. Composition

Glycerine, dextrose monohydrate, sugar beet molasses, yeasts and parts thereof [brewers’ yeast], sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride.

Gut flora stabilisers: 4b1707 Enterococcus faecium DSM 10663/ NCIMB 10415 4.9 x 109 (at the time of manufacture) Binder, anti-caking agents and coagulants: 1m558i Bentonite – Montmorillonite 40g.

Analytical constituents: Crude protein 1.86%, crude fibre 0.8%, crude oils and fats 4.5%, crude ash 26.6%, moisture 39.9%. Energy value 157 Kcal / 100g.
