Hop to it! - Easter tips for curious pets

Hop to it! - Easter tips for curious pets

It’s Easter time! What Easter means for most of us is family time! As you and the kids are excited for the Easter egg hunt and all the other Easter goodies, we need to be aware of the furry members of our family too!

Easter can mean certain dangers for our pets, chocolate, Daffodils, hot cross buns, the bones from the roast dinner are all hazards for your pets. For more information on how to enjoy Easter with pets read our Vet’s advice on How can I keep my pet safe this Easter?

Cat playing with toy indoors on sofaHelp to keep them safe by providing them with their own treats and toys to keep them entertained during the Easter fun! You’ll find some ideas below;

A big hit with pets is the KONG Comfort Jumbo Duck dog toy. This plush giant duck is available in yellow and purple. Perfect for cuddling or play, your dog is bound to be smitten with this soft plush duck. Perfect for Easter!

Another popular toy all year round, the KONG Ballistic Hide ‘n’ Treat is a huge hit with pets and their owners alike. Fill with your dog’s favourite treat, and hide the toy inside or out, giving your pet a safe way to have their own Easter egg hunt!

With more animals now available in the range, the KONG Refillable Duck would also make an excellent treat this Easter.

 5. KONG Puppy

Something a little different but still in the Easter theme is the Rosewood Mister Twist Ruby Rabbit Dog Toy. Full of character this charming purple and grey multi-texture rabbit will keep your dog engaged and with rope legs it's great for tug games too!

Dog eating treat in grassy meadowTreats should always be offered as part of a balanced diet. We recommend making sure treats don’t take up more than 10% of your pet’s daily food allowance – and their usual food will need reducing by the same amount to make sure they aren’t overeating

Remember, you should always supervise your pets during play! Examine toys regularly for damage and discard any toy that becomes worn or unsafe.
